In class, Mrs. Alaniz has been reading from a wonderful book called A Dog's Life by Ann M. Martin.
The main characters is a dog named Squirrel. She faces many challenges in her life! Every chapter is exciting and we can hardly wait for Mrs. Alaniz to keep reading. She always stops at the exciting parts.
We are at the part where Squirrel is healing from a terrible encounter with some very hungry dogs.
We love this read-aloud and can hardly wait to hear more because the author writes so well!

I love border collies - I always wanted one as a pet. They are so smart and so sweet. Keep up the reading 4A
ReplyDeleteThis story really makes you think about what is going to happen next.
ReplyDeleteToday we learned about PLOTS.
ReplyDeleteplots mean events in a story.
in a dos life wen thought of some plots that have happened in a dogs life.
we put down, losing their mom, leaving home, meeting gorge and Marcy, losing bone, finding moon, not staying safe, snowing, halloween, found food.
I think this is good because those of us that are doing oralreading UIL know how to read in front of big groups better.
ReplyDeleteI love this book hopefully they will stay safe. Moon is a good companion for Squirrel. I wonder what will happen next.
ReplyDeleteI love A Dog's Life! I read it once and it was a great book! It's one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteSquirrel is so observant of whats around her and Moon.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed hearing this book. I am so sad that I am not there to finish hearing you all read it. Hopefully one of the students will come update me on what is going on! :)
