This week we read LOVE THAT DOG by Sharon Creech. This book is about a boy who hates poetry. But his teacher, Mrs. Stretchberry, starts reading poems to the class, and Jack sends a letter to a poet, and things change. This book is full of many poems by many poets. Our class favorite was ""Love That Dog".

I have read this book, and I LOVE it! I like how the main character changes during the book. He doesn't like poetry at the beginning of the book, but he starts to like poetry and he becomes a very good poet. Whenever I read this book to my class, I would usually tear up at the end because it was so sad. I'm glad you enjoyed the book! Have you read "Hate That Cat"?
