Today is Constitution Day. The U.S. Constitution was signed and adopted on Sept. 17, 1787.
We discussed these questions in class today:
- What is the Constitution?
- Why is it important?
- What are the opening words of the Constitution called?
Do you know what they mean?

The Constitution is very important! In both 5Th and 6Th grade (and maybe others) you have to memorize the Preamble. The Constitution, along with the Declaration of Independence, are both very interesting documents that made our country great.
