Dot Day in 4A!

Have you heard of Dot Day?

This day is celebrated all over the world on September 15th.
It's based on a wonderful book called The Dot by Peter Reynolds.

This books is all about a girl named Vashti who learns how to express herself & be creative!

To celebrate, we made our own Dot pictures.

But we didn't JUST use paper and crayons.

We also used our iPod Touches! We tried different apps like Whiteboard and Doodle Buddy. Here are some of our screenshots:

Here's another:
And another:

And one more:

Okay, one more:

And more!!!

We hope we have inspired you to celebrate Dot Day, too! Go to your local library or bookstore and get a copy of the book, also.

How will you "make your mark" on the world?

  1. Grade 4, I love your dots! Our Grade 4 class in Alberta, Canada also celebrated Dot Day. I can't wait to show them your dots. I love that we can 'connect the dots' with other Grade 4 classes all over the world!
