Do You Know Your Vocab Words?

At Denton Creek, words matter!  Every month we have a set of vocabulary words that we learn and use during the day.  If Mr. McLain, our principal, meets up with us in the hallway, he is known to quiz us on the spot!  Students who show mastery of their words are called Word Wizards.
Mrs. Alaniz's students should always be ready! Make sure you study your vocabulary words.  (For the complete list, go to this week's newsletter which can be found on Mrs.Alaniz's DCE webpage.)
Here are a few of this month's words:
ATTIRE: outfits, garments, or dress
BOGUS: fake or not genuine
DELECTABLE: very pleasing, delightful, or delicious
ABODE:  a place where someone lives, home
KNACK: a special skill, flair, or power to do something easily
VAGUE: unclear, not certain
EMERGE:  to come into view, to appear

Mrs. Alaniz's students have a KNACK for learning new things.  Be diligent and studious!  Learn your vocabulary words!
