Mrs. Alaniz's students are learning to use a feature of our online library catalog system (Destiny). Through this program, which students can access from home, the students are learning to create resource lists for a 4th Grade research project.
Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Drawbaugh, is helping us begin our research project by teaching us all about research. Students will choose topics related to Texas and its history.
In class today each student created their own resource list to practice. To access their lists, student should:
1.) Go to the school website.
2.) Click on "Students".
3.) Click on "Library and Information Services".
4.) Click on Follett Destiny.
5.) Click on "Denton Creek Elementary".
5.) Click on "Denton Creek Elementary".
To access their lists, each student will need to login using their DCE password/username. This resource also allows us to find safe websites for our research.
Knowing how to do research on topics of interest is a very important skill!
