The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles: Our New Favorite Book!
Every day in 4D, the students participate in a favorite class event: "Snack and a Story". While eating pretzels, grapes, and cheese sticks, (Mrs. Alaniz eats a granola bar), the class travels to a fantastic place called Whangdoodleland via a wonderful novel written by Julie Andrews. Here the students share their responses to the story:
What we liked today in the book The Last of The Really Great Whangdoodles is when the Splintercat is making really funny sounds and noises, and when he's jumping in the catnip flower bed.
The Last Of The Really Great Whangdoodles is a great book because it has made-up characters and people who go on an exciting adventure.
This book is getting more exciting because they're getting closer to one of the Whangdoodles.
I like the way the Flutterbyes look.
The Last Of The Really Great Whangdoodles is an amazing book. It's an adventure that's very exciting. There are many weird animals in this book. I want to know if they see the Whangdoodle.
The book is great because it tells a great story and it takes you on a adventure with Tom, Ben, Lindy, and the Professor. Tom, Ben, and Lindy meet all kinds of creatures on their way to the Whandoodle's castle that the Professor tells them about. But the Prock is trying to stop them from getting to the castle. What will they do next?
