Live Blogging from the Library!

As Mrs. Alaniz is typing this, 4D is in the library with Mrs. Drawbaugh learning all about using The Big 6. This research method was developed by Michael Eisenberg and Robert Berkowitz. Last fall, Mrs. Alaniz was so excited to meet Robert Berkowitz at a staff development session! She learned all about this kid-friendly method for research, and is eager to share this with her class.
Mrs. Drawbaugh walked us through the steps of the method:
1. TASK DEFINITION
2. INFORMATION SEEKING
3. LOCATION AND ACCESS
4.  USE OF INFORMATION
5. SYNTHESIS
6. EVALUATION

Watch out for future posts where Mrs. Alaniz's students will show the Big 6 in action!
