SHOW ME How to Multiply!

Today in class we learned how to use cluster problems to multiply.

First we learned the Multiplication Cluster strategy.  Then we used the strategy to solve some 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication problems.


We demonstrated our learning using the Show Me app on the iPad!  Then we took screen captures of our calculations.

Here are some samples of our work! 



58 X 6 = 348

63 X 11 = 693

 We drew arrays and broke the numbers apart. We had to show our thinking! 
76 X 5 =380

We loved demonstrating our learning using the Show Me app!  (It's a free app!)

We can't wait to learn more math.  We also can't wait to keep using the iPad to learn!

    I loved using the iPads to learn. When i told my sister she was so mad that she did not get to use them.

    I loved using the iPads! I had never used one before! I noticed that my multiplication problem was posted!
