We LOVE This Book!

Mrs. Alaniz read us a fun and interesting book called I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen.
It is about a bear that has lost his hat.
We loved the book because it was funny and it was almost like poetry.

One student thought the bear was very vulnerable.

Here are some of the comments students made about the book:

"I like that the bear was polite. He always said 'thank you anyway'."

"Bear and Rabbit are alike in some ways."
"Bear really cared about his hat."
"Bear was so sad when he lost his hat."
"Once Bear said, 'I didn't eat any rabbit,' he gave himself away.
"Maybe the Bear got the wrong hat."

We took a poll in our class to see who was most favored: BEAR or RABBIT.

Here are the results.

Have you read this book? What did you like about it? Which team are you on? Take our poll! It's on the sidebar to the right of this post.
