We have been reading since August, and every two or three months, we add up the total number of books we've read. This is a big job. We always need calculators. And three students. We check our work because we want to get the total right.
While the grand total was being calculated by our classmates, we wrote about our individual total in our notebooks. Mrs. Alaniz gave us these questions to think about:
We did a lot of thinking.
Then, the total was announced by the students calculating the total.
Here it is!
WE ARE SO PROUD OF OURSELVES!

Mrs. Alaniz got the idea for the 40-book challenge from another teacher---Donalyn Miller. Thank you, Mrs. Miller!)
We have read so many books! I hope we keep it up until the end of the school year!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Great job 4A! Keep reading! Maybe you could reach 2,500 books by the end of the year! Reading is a great thing to do, and in my opinion, Mrs. Alaniz is an AWESOME teacher! Keep up the great work!
