Poetry Friday!

This is one of the poetry books we found in our library! It's filled with funny poems.

Today 4A had a Poetry Day. It was very fun. Kids in 4A read poems out loud to the class.  Here are some of the verses we shared. We found them in poetry books in the library.  

“Where are you going, Jenny, dressed in blue?"
“I’m going to have tea with a kangaroo”.

“I like pizza when I wake,

no eggs no toast no coffee cake”.

“The clouds make a pillow for my big bright head”.
“The stars are the pattern of my blue bedspread”.

We each read our poem to the class. Then our classmates asked us questions or made a comment about our poem. We learned a lot and had good discussions. Mrs. Alaniz was very proud of us. 

We think poetry is fun! Mrs. Alaniz said we could have more days where we share poetry! Hurray!
