Our class participated in the OREO Challenge. In this challenge, we stacked Oreos! Our class average was 18. Everyone wanted to eat the oreos, but everyone had touched the cookies, so we didn't eat them. Our very own principal and librarian participated.
If you would like try this sometime, here are the rules:
1. You only get 2 chances.
2. You can't adjust it after you put the cookie on the stack. (You can only adjust the cookie if you haven't let go of the cookie .)
3. Count how much cookies you stacked after they tumble.
4. You cannot eat the cookies.
(Note from Mrs. Alaniz: Before we started the challenge, we estimated how many cookies we could stack before they tumbled. Also, we learned how to find the average of a list of numbers. Lots of fun with math! My total was 16!)
