How Many Raisins in a 1/2 Ounce Box?

In math, we are learning about data collection. People collect data to gather information about the world around them. Data can be collected about tests, sports, and health issues.

Just like mathematicians, we can collect data to find out about our world. Yesterday, we collected data about something we know: RAISINS!
Mrs. Alaniz gave us each a box of raisins. We opened them and predicted how many raisins were in the box.
Then we counted them, and Mrs. Alaniz collected the data on our Smartboard.
The lowest amount in the box was 16. The highest amount was 28. Check our next post to see what we did with the data!
