Some stories are too wild to be true! Others are just like our lives---real and honest.
In reading, we learned about the genre of realistic fiction.
Realistic fiction includes made-up characters that could be real. They are involved in problems that could be real (such as moving to a new school, a pet running away, losing your homework).
We began writing our own realistic fiction stories, and it is amazing to see what we are coming up with! Our stories started in our notebooks, but they are now laid out on paper. Mrs. Alaniz says it is just like taking something out of a box and making it shiny and perfect.
We can hardly wait until our stories are finished and ready to share.
